Quantum mechanics offers a fundamentally different model of computation, with capabilities that go beyond classical limits. This talk explores how the structure of quantum mechanics, particularly features like linearity, complex amplitudes, and Born’s rule, gives rise to its distinct computational power. We'll ask what happens to complexity classes when these foundations are altered.
